Hi everyone,

I've got a problem, and I was wondering if someone could help me out. I will be traveling abroad to Tokyo for my major for school (GO PENN STATE), and I need a PB. Like everyone else, I am waiting for the new PB.I can't decide whether I should get the 12 or the 15 (if Apple is keeping the same product line of 12,15, and 17). I very much prefer the 12" size around Tokyo, yet I also like the larger screen, and better/faster features the 15" offer as well, and the 17" is out of the question. I will mainly be using it for word processing, email, iPhoto, etc. I am open to any suggestions (I WILL NOT get a Wintel laptop). THANKS!!

p.s. I am also planning to buy a digital camera, any suggestions?

The 12" PB should be fine for all those tasks. I have had mine since April and I love it. the biggest selling point is the size as it is really portable and can be carried in one hand.

I'd have to say that the 12" is probably a better choice for traveling. It weighs nearly a pound less, is smaller in width and heigh, and probably can take the abuse better than the 15". Coach class on international flights is terribly cramped and your screen is bound to be knocked down when the moron in front of you leans his seat back suddenly. Plus if you'll be spending a while in Tokyo you'll probably end up doing a lot of walking.

As far as digital cameras, I was in Japan a few months ago and picked up the latest Canon PowerShot 4 megapixel for a steal in Akihabara. Quite a bit cheaper than in the US, only downside is the warranty is Japan only. Casio also has a real nice camera not much bigger than a credit card with a huge LCD and 3.2mp sensor.

I agree, the 12" PB should be perfectly fine for the tasks you mentioned, and you'll LOVE the portability...mine does excellent at those same things you said.
