Hey all I recently had a 80 gig Western Digital in this firewire enclosure, but i took the drive out. Now I have a Maxtor 120 Gig DiamondPlus 9 drive, and I have set it to both cable select and master, and the drive will not be picked up by my powerbook. (12"). Anyone have any suggestions? The system is getting juice and this drive is very quite.

Sincerely,
Mel

did you format it? if not, go into Disk Utility (in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder) and see if that program recognizes it. if it does, use that program to format it (i haven't done this myself, so i don't know exactly how to do it, but someone on these forums can clarify that part, or use Apple's help docs)
