I have a 1ghz Ti, which I bought to replace my old-school 466 clamshell ibook (big jump, indeed). I know there are claims of getting some later ibooks to span TO another monitor, but I was wondering if there's any way I can use my old ibook as an extra monitor for my powerbook?

I know it's a long shot, but I use final cut, and I'd love to have a (free) extra monitor for my bins...

Thanks!

you'll have to get the schematics for the ibook monitor connection cable then figure a way to get that to go to a VGA plug. people have done it with old powerbook/pc laptop lcds, it won't be easy, me thinks....

You'd probably be better off selling the old iBook, and getting a 15 or 17 inch LCD screen with the money. Much easier to connect, and you'll have much more screen space to work with.
