I've read lots about the spanning hack, and many reports of people using it to drive an external monitor at 1280x1024.


But does anyone know by first- or second-hand whether you can push 1600x1200?

I'm buying an LCD at that resolution and since that will blow so much of my budget, I'd love to get an iBook (rather than powerbook) that can support the monitor.
