I'm in the market to buy a 12 or 15 inch PB and I was just wondering how long your battery lasts doing these things.

1. Watching a DVD
2. Playing games (Big games like Warcraft 3, UT 2003, Diablo 2 LOD)
3. Surfing internet/typing
4. Listening to music with itunes

Oh and also, how long does it take to completely charge from a dead battery?

Thanks for any info.

I have a 17", but I can give you some rough estimates on what I get...

1) I can usually get 2 - 2.5 hours watching dvds with screen at lowest brightness and headphones

2) I get about 3 hours with playing big games (again low settings for the game and low screen brightness)

3) I can get anywhere from 3 to 4 hours with just typing or surfing the web (same settings as above)

4) Uh, iTunes with music playing through speakers eats my battery away, usually 2 - 2.5 hours there. With headphones its usually 3.

Hope that helps!

So, how about charging the battery, folks? (I'm curious about this too, because this isn't the sort of thing they let you test out at Fry's.)

To do a full charge with the computer not on usually takes me about 2 hours (PB 15).
