Hey there everyone...i've been a "lurker" on this board for some time now, but since I've just replaced my 8600 with a new AlBook 12" i've decided to finally start posting. The PB just arrived today and has already been affectionately named "Tiny Dancer". It is by far the sweetest machine I've ever used. Anyways, I thought I'd just introduce myself and say hi..so hi

Hi Jason,
Welcome to the group. How did you manage the adjustment from a desktop to a 12" Powerbook in terms of the screen? What size monitor did/do you have for the 8600? I've a friend who uses a G3 tower, but she is afraid that the monitor size from a 17" monitor will lead her to wearing glasses. Kind of vain, but still a concern for her. Though, mobility is of great interest to her, as well as the G4 processor.
Oh...The 17" Powerbook is out of her price range.

I had a 17 inch AppleVision with my 8600...surprisingly i'm finding the 12 inch screen to be easy to adjust to. I guess the speed difference more than makes up for it.
Jason
P.S. thanks for all the welcomes you guys, this is a very friendly board...a refreshing change from some of the boards i've used in the past.
