I've been using a SuperCal ColorSync profile since I first got my 12-inch PowerBook. Long story short, I absolutly refuse to use the default setting from the factory because the color is horrible(blue was too dark, brushed metal apps were brown in color). Even sent it back to Apple, but they said they couldn't duplicate the problem. I like the SuperCal profile I'm using now, but I just wanted to see if anybody was willing to share some other ColorSync profiles. I'd like to find something that makes the alternating blue/white lines show up better in apps like iTunes and iChat, right now I can very faintly see the blue.

I'm not an expert at making ColorSync profiles, so if anybody has some tips for using SuperCal, please don't hesitate to post them or some actual profile files.

I have a variety of colour profiles I would much rather use, but won't allow themselves to be selected. I don't really understand why, is it something to do with the LCD display, is it more limited etc... ?

Using canned profiles seems to sort of defeat the point of using them in the first place. It would be best if you got a Spyder or something similar, and made your own.

Do prepress houses ever do profiles for your screen? I've been thinking about contacting the local prepress shop to see if they could help me out.
