I have a 9 month old ibook 700 combo that I took in to the apple store in chicago. The screen finally gave up. Flickered, then dead. They said it would take 7-10 days but was still covered under warrenty. I paid the $50 for the HD back up (I'm very glad i did!!!) and yesterday got my ibook (2 days later!!!!) shipped to my house in Indiana.

Brand new bright screen, for free and in record time. thanks apple.

ahh thanks,
I was expecting the worse when i took it in there but the turn around was exactly what I needed. Being in the middle of a major ($) project, I thought I was screwed, suprise!
