My 17" PB is coming up for three months old.

One of the bloody rubber feet has vanished!
I don't treat my Powerbook harshly - Why does this happen to EVERY powerbook I own?

Now I can look forward to a scratched PB case and Desk.

Great.

diggory.. go to home depot and buy some small rubber feet. Replace the originals with those. Problem solved

It'll cost you a trip to the store and about $1

Hmm - http://discussions.info.apple.com/We...8.18@.3bc2f9b6

It appears the whole lower part of the case has to be removed to replace the feet!

Link's idea is great. Go to Home Depot and get a package of of those clear, small bumpers (or feet). Use some strong glue or epoxy to hold them in place. The bonus is it'll lift your PB off a surface higher allowing it cool better.

Or in a pinch, you can use a small dab of hot melt glue and form your own. Quicker if you don't want to go to Home Depot or keep forgetting to get them and buying more useless stuff (like me!). Home Depot is like a toy store for "adults?

Seems like there is a misunderstanding: there are two types of rubbers which can get loose (well, maybe three )

The ones which rest on your lap and the ones that separate the screen from the basis.

Both will be replaced for free by Apple (under garantee that is) but for the screen ones you do have to take the whole machine apart, which isn't that difficult, but need some accuracy and patience.
