hi

my pismp cd/dvd died last week. it does not read any disk or dvd. it works a bit when i press it in. but not really.

now i tried to upgrade jaguar via firewire target mode from a g4 (someone on the os x forum told me that). it works until the 2nd cd. but then i cant boot again from the pb disk to install cd 2.

any hints to upograde the system or repair the drive?

Are you using the Pismo as a target drive and installing Jag from the G4 or using the G4 in target mode to insert CDs?

the pismo is in target mode. i installed the first cd. now it boots and wants to install things from the second cd. its not possible to quit this dialogue.

i tried to boot the g4 from the pismo disk. but theres only a grey "do not enter"-icon showing up.

is it possible to use the cd/dvd of the g4 in target mode?
