AFAIK the Lombard can't be fitted with a DVD player because the motherboard won't play ball.

No DVD player, no DVD. It's a hardware solution, nothing to do with the OS.

My Lombard G3 400 does have an internal DVD drive which works perfectly with the OS 9. It is the 333MHz model which does not come equiped with a DVD drive. Does anyone know of a hack/fix for me to play DVDs on OS X?
