arghhh, sigh, i noticed that my pbook 667 dvi takes awhie to pick up a newly inserted cd, is this normal? its so slow, and now it wont even detect some of my cds, i have to keep retrying, sometimes it can take up to 5-7 tries before it actually reads it! arghh, any idea?

Same problem on a Ti400. No idea what is causing it, but when it finally does work, I hear a loud click from the right side of the drive.

It's broken.

Exact same thing happened to mine and I had to send it in under warranty.

I've heard of many having this problem, so no surprise unforunately.
