Hi all,

I've got a PB 667DVI that I am pretty sure has a hardware problem (see the thread at http://forums.macnn.com/showthread.p...hreadid=172777).

Does anyone have recommendations/experience with any of the shops online that do PowerBook repair? I'd rather not pay the Apple rate of $400 for something little and $1000 or so if it's the logic board....so I'm looking for a cheaper but capable alternative for an out-of-warranty computer.

And, of course, if anyone looking at that thread has any idea what's going on, I'd love to know.

Thanks!

If you are able to do it yourself, check out this PowerBook parts store they seem to have almost everything you might need.
Good luck.

I live in TN.

I've seen both pbparts.com and powerbookresq.com before...does anyone have any experience using them for repair?
