What I love about my current ibook and don't like about probably my next laptop, the TI powerbook is the ethernet and other connectors location.

I love that all the connections are all in one row on the left, and think left is better than right... but the back with that flimsy hinge worries me.

Seriously, my main reason to consider the new AL would be the way it is set up.

I love the 12, but I want a bigger screen.
And I decided I dont need a 17inch screen.

15 is just right as they say. In fact, when you put them all next to each other, it's funny how the 12 and 17 make the 15 just look so perfect.

anway, are there a lot of problems with the TI Book due to the location? I mean does that little hinge to that door, break off easily?

And yes I realize this is a stupid reason for not wanting to buy a TI book, but that's my crazy logic and what else do I have to do while I wait and see if a new powerbook is realized this week.

I heard Nostrodoumous said new Powerbooks would be realized sometime before any stores actually received their stock of G5's

I like the connections on the rear.... it allows all the wires to remain hidden and out of the way, I just wish there was a cheaper docking station like the old duo had (not the duo dock)

I prefer the stuff at the back. The flip thing is not hugely strong, but it hasn't been a problem so far in 9 months.

I'm happy with the connectors in the back as well.... with airport, I rarely even use the ports anyway.

I like them all in the back. They're out of the way and out of sight too. On the side, they would stick out too much and take up valuable desk space. No problems with the little flap. It feels flimsy buy hasn't broken yet.
