(posting to iBook forum since this works for iBooks as well as PowerBooks)
This is a call for beta testers for SideTrack, originally discussed in this forum here:
http://forums.macnn.com/showthread.p...hreadid=172330
To sum up, SideTrack offers the following features:
- Keyless vertical scrolling at left or right pad edge
- Keyless horizontal scrolling at top or bottom pad edge
- Map tap and buttons to left or right clicks
- All the features of the original Apple driver, tap, drag gestures, ignore while typing, etc.
- Compatible with Jaguar 10.2.6 and Panther 7B44
BEFORE you rush to send me a beta request, however,
please understand that you are applying to beta test a kernel extension. If you're not clear that "beta" means
potentially buggy and understand the potential risks of kernel extensions then you are not likely to make a good tester.
I'm particularly interested in finding testers who have one or more of the following:
- Regularly use the trackpad gestures (tap click, drag, drag lock)
- Have machines with oddball trackpad geometry or older bezel styles (17" G4, Wallstreet, Lombard, Pismo)
To apply please send email to username basilisk at machine named foobox.net (spam avoidance necessary, sorry) with the following info:
- Your name (not just your forum nickname)
- Preferred email address
- PowerBook or iBook model
- Trackpad gestures you use
Beta testing should start later this week,
Alex (Bas)
