Anyone used them for a PowerBook repair? Any experience with them or other repair shops?

Thanks!

Not sure on that, however, if you visit www.powerbookcentral.com they're running a deal now where you get $10 off your repair through PowerBookResQ, and they're known for their quick and satisfactory service.

DT&T is awesome!!!! I have been to them for a number of machines over the past 10 or so years and they do great service. They also have a better warranty than most.

I work for a computer repair buisness and we use them quite ffrequently for out oof warranty parts replacements and such. They have been VERY VERY good, and I can recomend them from a buisness mans standpoint. There parts are great, and the turnaround on actual repairs is even better! Go with them, they are very good for what they do, and their price is pretty hard to beat.

OK, so they do good work.

Any feelings on whether they are 100% straight shooters? I have a problem that might be the logic board, might be the power board, or might be something even as cheap as the internal battery.

I think they are pretty straight shooters although I've only had one (excellent) experience with them when I got my Pismo repaired a few years ago. They diagnosed the problem quickly and charged a price to repair that was significantly below what other places were asking.

I agree that DTT are good guys. They once repaired a faulty component on my old Power Mac 8500's motherboard. Other shops wanted to replace the entire motherboard and charge me a buttload for it. They also warrantied the repair for six months.

I would not recommend We Fix Macs aka Allmac. These guys are crooks. Stay away.
