Hi. I was running the latest version of OS9 and Jaguar on my pismo powerbook before the virus hit. I lost everything 2 days ago....had to wipe my hard drive clean and re-install OS9, then Jag (disc first aid said my hard drive was corrupted and couldn't be fixed). Well, my OS 9 discs are 9.0.4....I had updated to 9.2 through apple.com, but now they don't provide any OS9 downloads. Am I stuck with 9.0.4? (I actually like 9 better than Jag, since all I do really is websurf and music notation software.)
Anyway, my newest problem is that after I loaded Jag onto my system, I restarted by switching the startup disc to OS9. No problem. Now I want to go back to Jag, though, and 9.0.4 won't let me. When I go to startup disc, I can only choose harddrive or network. On 9.2, it always showed me OS9 and OSX as my 2 choices....now it doesn't and I can't get to X. Does this make sense? I guess my 2 questions are: there's no way for me to download OS9 updates anymore is there? and do I have to reload OSX onto my system and can I not use both operating systems anymore? Thanks. Hope that made sense.

You can download the updaters from Apple. Go to www.apple.support and click on the downloads link. Or use this link to go there directly.

I think you'll need just two updaters. Mac OS 9.1 will bring 9.0.4 up to 9.1, and then you'll need 9.2.2 to update your 9.1.
