I've had my 17" for 6 month now, but term is about to start and I'll be travelling around with my PB often and would appriciate insurance over for accidental damage and theft. Does anyone have any experience with UK insurance companies, which are hits and which are misses? Wanna find a good company (can't trust some of these websites) so not to get ripped off. Thanks lots!

I've just got my laptop covered worldwide (I hope!) on my dad's home insurance. Last year I used Endsleigh at uni, though they are not te cheapest. However they do cover you for walk in robberies, which are commonplace at uni and in halls and stuff (in my first two years we had 10+ nicked from our halls). They also do all risks cover, but its quite pricey, especially for a 17". They're worth a look though.

I used Endsleigh at Uni too... they were not bad from what I remember.

However these days I use Privilige.. (I also to use the Royal and Sun Alliance, as I used to work in their legal teams a few years ago, but I don't know what it would be like these days...)

The best option is to get the Yellow Pages and phone as many companies as you can to compare Prices and Cover...

Peace,

Marc
