i recently got this burn error message twice on my SD tibook.

"burn error engine 24723....." (not exactly sure about the number, but it was something like that)

it was bizarre. my optical drive was really loud as if it were going in overdrive. each time it happened i restarted and reburned my cds and it worked fine.

what's interesting is that i have noticed that this problem occurs when i burn cd's while my tibook is set on an incline (using a coolpad). but i have burned dvd's (apple brand) fine while using my tibook on a coolpad.

any clue what the heck is going on?! this is my first mac and i'm just kind of troubled right now that its behaving like this.

gratziass
