PC 17" laptops are not to be taken seriously.
In six months tho, they will have 1 inch thick ones as well made by Sony or any other big companies.

I'm all for more PC 17"s - just means more cases and backpack will be made to fit them

I just got the Brenthaven and I'm kinda disappointed - I don't like the looks much.

Speaking of 17" PC laptops, check out this one made by voodoo. Its a monster:

It looks cool too (a lot like the apple) and its got a built in subwoofer. Still, i'm lovin my powerbook, and my coming G5. Its gonna be great.

Built in 5.1 Dolby surround with sub woofer and a video cam!!! Neat....but....how much you figure the damn thing weighs?

It weighs 8 Lbs and is 1.4 inches thick. Wow, these folks are charging Apple prices for this thing. Who do they think they are?

Voodoo has been around a while, their machines are as good if not better than alienware for gaming.
