I am about to purchase a 17" Powerbook. One thing I'm curious about, the specs list a VGA output and adaptor for DVI to VGA included.

As a temporary measure, before I eventually buy that new G5 and flatpanel screen, I might want to use the powerbook in place of the B/W G3 on my desk and use the very old Sony 20" Apple monitor currently connected to the G3.

Am I right that there should be no problem with the connection to the old monitor?

Thanks. Nelson

No problem, I was doing the exact same thing for several months until I purchased a new Apple Cinema display. The Sony monitor worked perfectly with my PB17 using the adapter.
