Waiting.... Waiting... (for the TiBook!)

Boy, I tell ya, this whole Apple thing has been one long wait after another.
Waiting for school to end so I can start saving. Waiting to save up enough cash. Waiting for new Powerbooks to come out. And now waiting for the damn thing to ship!
According to the online Apple store, my TiBook (1Ghz model minus the costly Superdrive) will ship by tomorrow (9/10/03) or before. Thing is, I know TiBook's are supposedly scarce commodities these days. So is it going to ship tomorrow or what? And is there some number I can call at Apple who would know what's going on? I need this thing soon -- I leave for Japan two weeks today and won't be back for a year. I haven't heard anything from Apple for a while, and I'm starting to get antsy!

Hehehe, yup, I've been there when I had to wait 4 months for my 17" to arrive. The waiting sure sucks.

I had to wait nearly a month for my powerbook (same specs as yours) to ship. They actually pushed back the ship date a couple of times since I ordered an ipod with it. It's coming on Friday, can't wait.

I imagine you ordered your 17" when it was announced?
I doubt he'll be waiting 4 months. If anything he'll get an e-mail after MacExpo asking if he wants to cancel the order and score a new 15" Al

When I ordered, it just took 3 days to receive my powerbook. Just like that.
