I just registered because of this thread. First of all, I am a Canadian student who bought my first mac this week. I can't wait to get it!!!

Anywhoo, yes, Apple Canada offers student discounts for the Powerbook series. The price was normally $2249 but I paid $1999. I also added the airport extreme card and paid $132 - so I saved there too.

You should be able to do it online. However, I purchased my mac via the 800 number.

Good Luck!

Apple offers student discounts across the board on their products. You'll save anywhere from $30 to up to $400 on the G5's. The only thing I cant figure out is that my school's computer store advertises the new 20GB and 40GB ipods for more than the Apple store price. The 20GB is $579 online and $596.something at my store. Maybe that includes taxes or something, I dunno. I really want one but I better pay $529 cause the last 15Gb came with a $50 discount.
