Ok i know it probly can but i'm new to WiFI, will my airport X in my 17 PB work with all other 802.11 b/g netowrks? and is there special software I need or will the airport setup software work with setting it up wiht other WIFI hubs, thanx.

It should work just fine.

The AirPort Extreme interface in your PowerBook uses 802.11g, which is backward compatible with 802.11b.

It works like a charm, all you need to do is get the settings to connect to the other network, and you're ready to go.

I have been using the Linksys wireless cable router without a single problem with my 17". Additionally, the Mac automatically connects to a friend's wireless network while I visit their house.

Wireless networking with a laptop is a must-have if you ask me. Being tethered down with CAT5 cable is a drag!

oh yah i know, getting apx next week i hope, just finishing up a job, I asked becuase my PC buddy is gonan be getting a PB soon and wanted ot se if it would work with his current WI FI setup.
