If you read all my posts, than I'm sure they all contridict what I said before... at least some of them.

I decided what kind of computer i wanted. I went back and forth, but I think the

15 powerbook best suits my needs.

right now they are going for great prices on apples website... refurbished though, but what otehrs have told me, this is fine....

I'm most worried about dead pixels when I by a laptop, although I've been lucky never to have had them.

anway, it's not a new powerbook that will make me upset if it is introduced, but something else. Something we havent' thought of. LIke a mini notebook, a revised ibook, a laptop with saw a 13 inch screen.... like when the ipod came out.... or the ibook in general.

I want to buy the 15 inch for a good price, and I dont' want to wait too long and not be able to buy them, but at the same time, like everyone else, I want to see what happens tuesday.... probably nothing too big... but man o man if they came out with a super thin ibook with a 13 inch screen, I would probably really want that....

The price is actually crap when you consider the machine is almost a year old and lost half its second hand value.

If they have lost half their value, they are cheeper used. Powerbooks retain value better than any other laptop. PowerBooks are only worth what the market will pay!

Half?

You're sorely mistaken...

A 1ghz Ti w/ 1Gb of RAM and a superdrive still goes for ~$2300-$2500... if it were half we'd be talking about $1500-ish.
