I bought an extra battery with my TiBook 1GHz right around when they were released.... last spring I suppose it was.

Anyway, I haven't really used it up to now, but I've been using my laptop in class (a lot) and I wanted to bring the extra battery along. So I swapped out my dependable battery, dropped in the unused one, and it's dead. DEAD!!!

At first, it tried to charge the battery, but it soon gave up and said "No battery is available" in the menu bar. No green lights illuminate when the test button is pressed.

Any way to resurrect it? Please?

Your battery should have a 1 year warranty on it and all you need to do is call Apple to have it replaced.
