This morning in a rush to get to the office, and the airport, we were tossing bags down the stairs to save time.... well the computer bag got tossed too, and the pismo survived with no damage. The amazing thing about this is its an over the shoulder computer bag I bought for 10 bucks at Office depot!

If I had tried that with my 6 month old TI it would have died... I love that TI but its not holding up nearly as well as the pismo did... paint comming off, screen damage from the ridge of the track pad....

You know what I'd like from Apple? For them to keep the Pismo form factor, maybe make it thinner, but essentially the same shape, and durability; but put in it, all the latest technologies that the new PBs have. I love my Pismo, and the screen size, and PB size is just right.

I've given up on my Pismo, and sold it to PowerBookMedic. Most of its downfall was due to my staggering inadequacy in mechanics, but it was also just getting old. If I'd just been content with the performance it had at the beginning of the summer, I'd be more than a thousand dollars richer and much less stressed.

I'm waiting til Tuesday to see the new iBooks or Powerbooks before deciding on a new Mac.

Funny thing is, when the Lombard came out (which was the first PowerBook to use the Lombard/Pismo case), everyone was complaining about how shabbily built it was compared to the Wallstreet.

Wallstreets were heavy, but make a Lombard/Pismo feel as sturdy as a squeaky toy.
