Has anyone seen this page on macmice?

http://www.macmice.com/ibreeze.html

It's for their notebook cooling pad and states:

"The iBreeze works with all models of Dual USB iBooks and G4 (or PPC 970) Powerbooks."

Could this be possible confirmation of the rumors or just macmice playing into the rumors game?

Well, it's pretty much a no-brainer that:

1) There will be a PowerBook G5 out eventually, and
2) It will fit on top of this cooling unit.

I think they're just saying the unit is generically compatible with laptops. It's not like they're privy to any inside info.

do search on macmice and macwhispers.

It's run by Jack Campbell, a pathetic guy who can't run a business to save his life... he's gone to jail twice for fraud and tax evasion...

so he drops fantastic rumors and apparent 'hints' to drum up a little bit of interest.

Users have commented that the ibreeze isn't suitable for use on your lap because the fans on the bottom are exposed. It's only for desktop use. A laptop cooler that doesn't work on your lap. That about summarizes the credibility of macmice?

I guess I would have never even considered using a cooler "on" my lap. I just assumed they were for use on a desk when using for prolonged periods of time. Can't say that I use a laptop actually on my lap except for short periods of time.

Well to play devils advocate, this has been addressed many times. It has been a while since that announcement was made and similar things have occurred in the past only to have the product introduced not long after. "Not anytime soon" is definitely left open for interpretation just like "yeah of the notebook".

Yes, and of course Apple has every incentive to issue intentionally misleading statements to the effect that new machines -- especially G5s -- are not coming in the near future. They'd take a hit on current sales as people put off purchases while awaiting the new models.

So its back to square 1, eh?

It's nothing special, the site is just saying that because they know there will be a G5 later on in the future, and it will fit on that since the size of the Powerbooks will not really change much. That's why they can get away with that. It's not a insider news, hint or anything.
