Most of the time I work on my PB17 when it's connected to 220v.

I noticed a couple of times now, that after standby, the little light at the end of the charge-plug remains dark.

This obviously means that no power is being sent through the wire. Even in standby the PB consumes power. It has already happened that the battery was to drained to make it jump out of standby.

The only thing that works, is to pull the plug out of the socket, and push it back in. After that the orange light burns, and the pb wakes up.

Anyone else noticed this? Any solutions perhaps.

Yep, me too. I've had mine since May and it just recently started doing it. I had been using it plugged in at home and took it to work and the battery read 30%. Today, I had it back at home with AC adapter plugged in and noticed the yellow/green plug light out. I removed and replaced the plug from the outlet and the light and charging resumed. Very odd. Almost thought it was my outlet or my imagination. Gonna keep an eye on this problem. Anyone else?

It may be this:

PowerBook G4: 65 W AC Power Adapter Does Not Charge the Battery and Charge Light Is Off
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=32155

Happens to me quite often.

I guess it's working as it should and may have saved my precious baby. I can live with that. Thanks for the info.
