The 12" PB 867Mhz refurb. is only $1,199! The 17" PB is only $2,499! Better act fast, these surely won't last long.

How safe is it to go with these refurbs? How do I know what kind of condition they are in? Any chances of them having scratches or just being a lemon?

Because the 12 inch for 1199 is an awsome deal!

Buying refurbs. direct from Apple is a smart move; they come with a 1-year Apple warranty just like new models do.

They come packaged in Apple-logo'd cardboard boxes w/ all the foam packing and original manuals, cables, etc. just like new. They WON'T be lemos as they're tested and fixed (if needed) at the factory before being resold. They may have *minor* scratched or usage marks, but they'll be in overall great shape.

I bought my Pismo as a reburb blowout after the PBG4s were released. The only difference between it and a new one was it came in a brown box that said "Refurbished Apple Product" instead of the usual colorful PB boxes. They come with all manuals and accessories, the standard 1 year warranty and are eligible for Apple Care. I'd have no problem buying another one.
