Hello.

I own an ibook that has a few problems. I dropped a picture frame and it put a small hole in the screen, and left a scar near the left speaker.

Question, is I want to sell this computer. I will try to be as honest as I can about it. I know the battery stinks and all the ports worked for me, but I haven't tested the port that hooks up the an external monitor.

I want to sell it, but I want people to realize that it is 2 years old and might have problems from that. I mean it works fine for me right now, but maybe it will break down in a week, just becuase that's the nature of some computers.

I guess my question is, I want to sell this computer, but also to a person that knows it's not perfect.

ebay seems like the best bet. any other places.

any place I could jsut trade it in for cash? like a place that takes old apple products.

EBAY - and then put a brand-new picture from apple's site of the computer as it looked new...isn't that what ebay is for? To cheat people?

Just kidding.

You think that maybe someone would want it for parts? Sounds like it may be more useful for that???

It works fine.. been using it for 6 months since the screen incident... it's not junk, but it's not new... I give it a 7 out of 10 overall... just wondering what people thought.

Ever sell a computer that you were a bit embarassed to sell, but it's not dead enough to just give away... I mean I think it could still fetch 400-600 because I have an external burnder and 576 of ram.. a new keyboard....

I would think it would be best for someone who has a main computer, but needs a laptop sometimes.

totally sell it on ebay. I think if your as honest as you just were here, then people will understand. True you may only get $450 (or less) for it, but at least its gone and someone is happy for a while. If they want a better computer, theres many more up there that are.

Try it on eBay and offer like free shipping or something. Take lots of pictuers of it too. A photo IS worth a thousand words on eBay.

Good luck!
