My 17" PB is having some problems -- the trackpad is going crazy, I have a couple of busted keys on my keyboard and one of the fans is broken. Needless to say I need to take this bad boy in for service.
A friend of mine took his TiBook to Carbon Computers in Toronto to get his screen fixed and they absolutely butchered the thing. Needless to say I'm not taking mine to Carbon. None the less, it still fills me with fear to have someone "fix" my machine. I worry about it getting scratched. I've babied the thing since I got it (~4 months), the screen is PERFECT, no scratches, no dead pixels, no nothing. The surface is perfect except for one tiny scratch on the battery. Wherever I take it, I want to know that I can rest assured that it will leave the service center in the same condition it was in when I take it in.
That being said, does anyone know of a good service center in Toronto. Someone who actually takes care of the machines that come in to their shop and respects the customers fears about bad service workmanship?
Is it possible to just drop the thing off at Apple Canada?
