Well, I finally converted. I broke down and canceled my online order, ran to the Santa Monica Apple Store and bought a 17"! I could hardly restrict myself. I had to go to work immediately after and on my drive over I was installing Unreal 2003. I must say, I am very impressed by this computer so far.

A quick question though... I have to keep reconfiguring my airport every time that I want to dial up to the internet. I am using the 56k until I get my cable modem connected. When I just try to click on the Airport connect in the upper right of the screen it always says "connecting" but never does. When I reconfigure it, which takes a few minutes, It then shows that it is dialing the number and then says connecting and eventually connects. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Also, does putting a new hard drive in void the warantee?

Thanks for the help.

Congratulations! I don't know what the issue is with the Airport, but I find it humorous that you were installing software as you drove.

The airport issue of having to reestablish connection every so often is a known problem for some, including me, that begain with the last Airport update. You may want to go over to the Networking board and cast around. I did a few days ago and found no joy. I have tried many times and many ways to reconfig my the ways I access Airport and nothing has solved this problem. What does help is to have Aiport in your menu so you can quick to to it to reestablish the connection. It sucks but it works.
