My Albook is coming with 512megs of ram using up both slots(those bastards), is it worth it to upgrade up to 1 gig of ram? I had 1 gig in my ghz tibook and loved it, not that I knew any different since it came with a gig. However what is the speed/responsiveness increase from going from 512 to 1 gig of memory in OS X? Anyone have any personal experiences?

I haven't had personal experience through OS X (yet), but the general principle holds: The more RAM the better.

If your Alu15 is coming with 512MB of RAM, we're talking 2X256 sticks. May as well order a couple 1Gig sticks and have 'em ready to pop in when your Powerbook arrives. You'll be maxed.
