Maybe its cause this is my first apple product, but the packaging on the isight is very nice, understated and impressive. I have also seen pictures of the box that the AL comes in, and I am expecting to be impressed once again in 72hrs when it hits my door step....

(it's just the way you said it and the fact that I have been studying for a automata theory till 4:00 AM)
But yes, Apple makes the experience of opening a new computer box and setting up the computer one of the best experiences in the world.

I don't know any better, I open about 5 apple-boxes a day. I think the imac g4 opens the hardest because it is so heavy and hasn't got a grip anywhere except under the imac itself. It's quite risky to lift because it can tilt out of the foam.

Yes, they are one of the best, if not the best in my book when it comes to packaging.

you know the metal neck can be used as a handle. Every other Apple employee said it was fine, but I was still skeptical so I supported it under the base a little.

Apple explicitly says that the proper way to lift a flat-panel iMac is by the neck.
