I know these barely relates... or maybe it does, but I have an ibook... and since I bought a desk lamp wiht a 40 watt bulb weeks ago... my eyes are hurting...

They burn when I use the computer.

I figured they were from the light, since that is the new thing I added, but ever when I shut it off, it still happens.

For those of you who wear glasses, my eyes feel like they do when I go to the eye doctor and they put stuff in it to numb my eyes for a short time.

I just wanted to know what do you think this is?

I mean I guess I could go to the eye doctor, but I wanted to know if others have this problem.

I thought it was too much computer usage but even today when I didn't use it all day and just starting using it a few hours ago, it's back.

I've used computers and a lamp for years and never remember this happening. Ever.

The lamp is rather close, about a foot away, but they are usually that close.

I"m used to having halogen bulbs though. This is just a desk lamp that take regualr blubs...

any help?

I have sensitive eyes and the standard settings for the iBook display kill me. Try calibrating the display in Preferences. I chose a "sunny and warm" setting for graphic professionals and reduced the temperture. The display now has a yellowish hue and is less intense. Perfect.
