How powerful is the GF4 440Go in the PB17 revA (on average) vs. the Mobility Radeon 9600 in the PB17 revB?

(I do video editing/presentation graphics and other multimedia stuff.)

well, for gaming the 9600 is probably twice as fast, and offers more features to boot. for video editing it probably doesn't make any difference. however, if you were doing any 3d rendering the 9600 would definitely be the way to go.

In terms of fill rate the 9600 is 2-3 times faster than the 440 Go.

I compared today in the store and vs my 800Mhz TiBook (Radeon 7500) it is 400% faster, blending 32bit pixels in GL.
