Did they change the chip in the 12inch? or are they the same as before?

is there a new chip in them, any reason to think they will be cooler.... better screens....

The 12-inch model uses a G4 7457 just like the other new models do.

How do you know for certain, Commodus? The Dev Note for the new 12-inch isn't out yet.

If they actually use a 7457 or 7447 (we don't know yet for sure) the chip would be different from the rev A 12" PowerBook.

The new PowerBook has 512 kB of L2 cache whereas the older one only had 256kB. They both don't have L3 cache. The bus and RAM is the same for both. The new PowerBook is running at 1GHz vs. the 867MHz of the old one.
