the pc2700 seems to be less expensive than the pc2100 but I just wanna make sure that i can use the pc2700 on the 12" and that it doesnt have any conflicts with the built-in 256MB.
and just off topic, did the old 12" come with 256MB built in or 128 built in+ 128MB external
thanx

Well, PC2700 SODIMMS should work fine in the Powerbook (they'll just run at the 2100 speed)
But where do you see them costing less? crucial.com has them at the same price for 256MB modules ($49.99) and the PC2700 costing about $10 more than the 2100 in 512MB modules ($140.99 vs. $129.99).
And the Rev. A 12" PowerBooks came with 128 MB soldered on the logic board for up to 640 MB ram (with a 512 MB SODIMM in the slot), but shipped with another 128 MB module.

I put my 2700 256MB that I took out of my new Powerbook on ebay with a $20.00 start price. So far no interest.

Can I mix RAM sticks in an Alubook, or do I need two matching sticks?
I got the 15" Alubook with 256x2 for RAM, and I'm wondering if I can pull one 256 module, and swap in a 512 stick with no problems.
