FYI, for those interested in the new Bluetooth peripherals, I ordered the mouse on 9/16 and it said 2 - 3 week for delivery. I got a message on Friday that it had shipped! The Fedex tracking number shows it scheduled for delivery on Monday. I didn't order the keyboard so I can't comment on it's availability.

I ordered both the keyboard and mouse from Macmall the day they were announced. I'll probably have to wait 2-3 weeks...
I still wish Apple had created a two-button mouse as an option. Maybe they are considering the risk of repetitive motion injuries when using a mouse with two or more buttons?

Anyhow, I'm old-school. Left hand on the keyboard, right hand on the mouse. That always seemed to get the job done(I am a graphic designer).

the 2nd button is not essential to me, however, the scroll wheel, i think is a must. Once you use a scroll wheel, you'll never want to go back to a one-button mouse.

I really thought apple would introduce a mouse with 2 buttons and a scroll wheel or perhaps a scroll pad, like the one found in kensington's studio mouse or something like ipod's scroll pad.

Exactly.... they make a big deal out of a no biggie KB and mouse. Your Kensington point is spot on. This is Apple for Pete's Sake... best ID in the industry but they slip us a 'dated' mouse for 70 bucks. No Thanks!

I don't expect a cerebral interface.. but something more than a 2.5 year old design would be refreshing

At $140.00 for the set it better do more than be cordless.

This blows !!! I was at the Apple Store in Rosevelt Field mall and I had the new Apple Pro Wireless mouse ready to pay when I told them that I had a USB Bluetooth adapter form D-Link, The onlu one apple.com offered as the only one and best at the time, and they turned around and told me that it is not compatible with such. First can somebody confirm this information and second ig this is the case this is very bad advertising on Apple's behalf considering that when you look at the specs needed online to use it, It only says you need a USB or built-in Bluetooth. I was really ticked considering I had to drive for 2 hours in traffic. Please voice your opinion's.

The specs at Apple.com say which D-Link adapter will work. The newer ones will, not older ones.

The reason, I believe, is new technology that prevents several computers near each other from interfering with each other's mice/keyboards. That sounds like a VERY necessary development, and perhaps the lack of that is why there have been almost no BT mice/keyboards until now?

Let's hope for lots now, from Kensington and Logitech.

From what I read I think at MacOSRumors there is a two button mouse on the way from Apple. I think they wanted to push the one button mouse first for obvoius reasons. My advice is if you want a 2 button mouse you had better wait or you will regret your purchasing decision.

I will wait.... no point of me using a one button mouse anyways.

Well, my daughters BT KB shipped today, but not the mouse.

Hey all, the wireless mice are here (are they really mice without tails?)

Once I installed the new software, the Bluetooth pane in my Keyboard & Mice control panel was enabled and I could pair the devices. By the way, I'm using a Belkin USB Bluetooth adapter on a Pismo, so you don't need the new D-Link one. I believe the new D-Link will allow multiple devices though.

The new mouse feels great - has a nice solid feel. Not too heavy. Click pressure is adjustable through a switch under the battery cover. All I need now is an Apple Wireless Mouse Pro with two buttons and a scroll wheel!

Yes, I got mine this morning also. Works great so far. It's heavier than the Apple USB mouse but lighter than the Microsoft Bluetooth mouse.
