Just the screen or the screen and the half inch of casing? Just the screen is 14.5 width, 9.25 height and 17 diag. With the case add 1 inch to each measurement. Hope that helps.

Mathematically, by the pythagorean theorem, a 17" 1440x900 screen ought to be 100 DPI, and thus 14.4" x 9" of illuminated screen.
