Some reports have claimed that panther can increase battery life? Can anyone actually confirm this? is it substantial?

Oh and since people reading this are concerned with adding longer battery life to the new Al books, I have talked with techs over at OWC, the company manufacturing after-market batteries for powerbooks. They have told me that their technology is "newer" tech for older laptops. Meaning that the claims of 30% increase was referring to the oldest powerbook that they make an upgrade for. The replacement battery for their newest powerbook they support has an increase of only 3%, giving 65Watt hours instead of 61(apple oem). So if they release an update for the new one, it will not have a 30% increase. (my take)

I beleive the new PB have abattery of about 45W per hour... I could be wrong.
Its not the fact that life is fact, but that life itself is a fact of the unknown....

newest powerbook they support is the Tibook.. sorry if it was unclear. the Tibook's battery is 61Watt hour from apple and 65watt hour from OWC.

i believe that it is a space issue. Somewhere near 45Watt hours is probably the biggest in watt hours that can fit in that size, the new batteries for the ALbook are smaller than those of the TiBook.
