just watched the keynote and stevo said nothing about the 17 having this featue. I would assume it would, just wanted to know befor i go pick mine up on thurs!!! I'm SOOOOOO excited, my 1st portable!

hook a external display up or TV, mirror the display (i think), then close the lid on the powerbook and it should still keep running and not go into sleep mode.

Sorry, I don't have the new one but the older one. It does, and I can't imagine they would have removed the feature in the newer one. You actually don't have to set mirror mode as OS X is smart enough to realize you only have one monitor available and sets the external as primary.

If the display is open and you close it, it WILL put the PowerBook to sleep. However, if an external display is connected, you can use an external keyboard and mouse to wake the computer.
