Just do a google search on 'replace ibook drive', and you'll get several; even the
first one looks quite informative. I recently replaced the drive on my Late 2001 iBook and it wasn't too bad as long as you've got the right tools, and are careful with the labelling the screws you remove.
Search carefully and you may even find the Apple manual.
