I picked up an old Duo 2300c on ebay last week just to play around with. it came with os 8.5 - i haven't use anything but os X in a long time so i am lost right now. when i try to connect to the internet it gives me this pop-up "The connection attempt failed: the port may be in may by another application. Check for other uses of the port, like a fax receiving software. also check appletalk and modem control panels that they are not using the same port." i am pretty sure i have everything set up right now thats the message i get...one thing it could be is the wrong modem type in the modem control panel...but i dont really know what kind of modem i have because the apple system profiler doesnt tell me...its almost like remote access is trying to access the modem/printer port and not that internet modem??? any thoughts.... thanks.
