Curious--
I felt the 1400 c had a great keyboard.
I loved the clamshell.
the ibook icebook is decent. Ti is good.
Never was a fan of the 14.1 notebooks, always feel that keyboard was too far away from where you hands go.
New powerbooks are really good, but I think I still prefer the old ibooks.
Question, looking for a good one to use when I travel, but I only need it for word processing. I don't need it to edit video or anything special.
Just need it to have a way to save my files so I can transfer them back and forth.
What was your favorite laptop to type on. Might just pick on up on e-bay.
Battery life is key too. USB would be nice.

I prefer the clamshell to the icebook or the tibook. I got to play a bit with a Pismo today and I have to say that I liked its keyboard as well, but not as much as the clamshell.

If memory serves, the "Wall Street" Powerbook G3's were pretty good. They were pretty hefty too, unfortunately.
You can get a USB PC card for them, and they support dual batteries. Might be worth a look.

I love my brand new 900Mhz ibook. the keyboard has enough give to it, that you can still feel that you typed the keys, I don't think I like it as much as the 12 inch power book. It over all is just a sweet keyboard... then again I've never tried any other apple laptops. But I love the formfactor of it.

iceBook but only if the Airport Card is installed. It stiffens up the keyboard somewhat.

Scooters are more fun than computers and only slightly more frustrating

Typing on the Ti hurtss my arm.... anyone else feel this?
It's the way my arms hits the edges of the notebook... It digs in.

Yeah, I had that while typing on my iBook. I have used an iceBook, a Wallstreet, and a TiBook enough to determine which I like best... I'd have to say the TiBook first, then the iceBook, and finally the Wallstreet. The Wallstreet is a bit too mushy. The iceBook is also somewhat mushy, but the TiBook is very good. I used a 12" PowerBook in an Apple Store once and I really, really liked it, but I didn't use it a whole lot. The Wallstreet was the most comfortable for my wrists, though, because of the curved body. It was also the hottest.

My 300 MHz-iBook was superb... my Dual G4 now has a keyboard that feels like yoghurt. But I got used to it.

I was at the Glendale Galleria store yesterday checking out the new AlBooks. I must say the keyboards were quite nice. My only complaint is that my thumb and palm kept brushing the trackpad, which caused the cursor to jump around the screen. The sales guy explained that there are Trackpad settings to help. I'd probably just get a compact external optical mouse. I'm not a huge fan of touchpads anyway.
The iBook wasn't bad either, but definitely not as precise as the AlBooks. But, the iBook's keyboard is removable (and more easily replaceable if/when it breaks). The iBook wasn't bad by any means, just not as crisp as it's big brothers'.
