OK if I was an Apple employee now and opening up this forum or other forums concerning loss of battery power in Powerbooks and problems on Network settings in desktops....I would be trying to rush out another fix such as 10.2.9.....However before you RUSH out a fix patch....be sure and take your time testing......we don't want another fiasco of problems cropping up like this..Howerver in the meantime, please instruct the masses what to do......

in comparison to when there is an emergency and the pilot tells the crew and passengers what to do and how to brace for impact.... but thank god for me its just a powerbook battery....

Don't rush out a patch, but do tell us what to do...

It would seem they are aware of it.

I read Apple pulled the updater off the list on the OSX forum.

Great, are they going to put 10.2.7 back? And the ability to undo what the hell they've done?

I called Apple up and talked to their support crew. It seems they have instructed me to either go back to 10.2.6 or Take out the battery and just use the AC adapter....I've gone through every reset there is know for the Powerbook G4 17" and still the battery problem is not fixed....and so my notebook is on just AC....oh well at least its cooler due to a big opening in the underbelly of the beast.....

Anyone else with a sollution they want to share?
