My 20GB iPOD was supposed to ship TODAY but I just checked my order status now it says it will ship on or before 09/30/02!! Why is Apple doing this to me?

Mine is also stuck in Chine since the 19th but the estimated deliver is the 23rd. How often is the Airborne tracking updated. Would it show up on the tracking right away if it was in the US or is it delayed?
