I agree - I found some 512 chips for the 12" that were about $105 - but then I thought, hey crucial has always done me right, and they are QUALITY. An extra 25 bucks for the knowledge that probs down the road won't be due to ram was worth it for me, my CRUCIAL ram arrived today.
Compared to the $270 Apple wanted, even the 'name brand' chips are a bargain.

Got mine through Amazon/Viking. works in my 1GHz iMac, got confirmation from a friend who has a 12" says it's the same. Can't wait!
