hi people
I'm going to order the 1.25 ghz 15 inch on friday and had a couple of questions. I know that one gets a printer and an additional 300 off the price on top of the education discount (which applies to me) but what I wanted to know about:
1.When I order on line, do I just give them my student number and school information?
2. What's involved in paying with a credit card. Do I need to get a card with apple? Do I need to have an apple account? let me know if you can.
cheers

It may ask for your Student ID, it may not, just depends...my university requires you login before accessing the discounted prices while others don't.

You can use any major credit card when ordering (Visa/MasterCard/Discover/American Express). There's no "Apple card" or anything of that nature. And you'll create an Apple account when checking out.

Congrats on your upcoming purchase!

I was able to order without giving them my student number. I figure if they want they can just call and ask me for it - no problem.

Yes, you can use any major credit card to order

Going for the edu. deal as well, eh?

Ya the EDU deal is definatly worth taking advantage of.

I bought a powerbook with it, and now that I am not student I got my GF to let me buy the new 15" 1.25 with hers. They never ask for anything, its weird. I remember at the actual apple store they used to get your DL #.

Maybe they do check and if they find out it was you they chrage your card for the difference
